Common questions
- Someone quoted me saying something I never said.
- Open the quote and mark it I never said this — it will carry a DENIED HAVING SAID badge for everyone. If it is abusive rather than merely wrong, tap ⋯ → Report this quote.
- What does "Left unverified" mean?
- The person quoted chose not to confirm or deny it. It is their final answer, and they can change it at any time.
- How do I quote someone who is not on Quotebook, like my child?
- Open Create. Under Not on Quotebook, type their name and choose Save to your people to keep them, or Just this once. Your people are in Profile → People you made, where you can add a photo, rename them, or remove them. Their quotes always stay unverified, and only you can quote them.
- How do I delete a quote?
- Tap ⋯ on the quote. Delete for me removes it from your app only. Delete for everyone is there if you wrote it or you run the quotegroup. Hide takes it out of your feed and can be undone later.
- How do I stop someone contacting me?
- Tap ⋯ on any of their quotes, or the ⋯ on their profile, and choose Block. Neither of you will see the other, and neither can quote the other. Undo it in Profile → Blocked accounts.
- How do I delete my account?
- Profile → Delete account. It asks for your password and for you to type DELETE, then removes everything permanently.
- I forgot my password.
- Tap "Forgot your password?" on the sign-in screen. We email you an eight digit code.
- Who can see my quotes?
- Only the members of the quotegroup you posted them to. See the Privacy Policy.
